Great job with this article! The overview section was thorough and well written and I was intrigued from the beginning by the 'beautiful guard' fact. The biggest change I made was moving the picture to the main righthand box- I think it is more important to have a good picture there than one by the description section, but if you find another good picture definitely put it in. I also added more links throughout the page and changed some wording to make sentences flow better. The reproduction section is very informative and the human importance section does a good job of relating this page to the readers. If you are planning on making future changes to this page I would focus on adding more to the communication section and possibly a few more behavioral sections, but all together this is a great page so far. Good job with the article. Everything was very well written and interesting from beginning to end. The parts that I really liked was the map of where they are and the differences between the worker and queen oviposition. I added a hyperlink for eusocial and italicized the title of the article since it a name of a species. If you plan to expand this article, I would focus on the communication section.VAD2015 (talk) 20:47, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Overall the article is well-written. I helped make writing flow better and look more aesthetic. In the intro added spaces between words that needed them like with “Mandaçaia, which” and changed some wording to make the sentences flow better with final products like “mud hives in the hollows of trees to create passages that only allow one bee to pass at a time” and “leading to overall larger yields of fruits”. I did the same with word flow and aesthetics in Taxonomy, Queen, Distribution and Habitat, Cell Construction, and Caste Differentiation. I would try to make sure to keep your article about Melipona quadrifasciata and get rid of anything that generalizes to Melipona, which has its own page. This can be seen in the intro to Identification and Differentiation and Colony Cycle. Additionally, where did you get the information for the queen? I would make sure to cite that. And you could also give an overview of the Reproduction section and Relation to Humans section to help readers get a better grasp of the section. I also got rid of extra hyperlinks like with oviposition and gynes and added hyperlinks to supersedure. I don’t know if you really need the hyperlink for Mandaçaia, since it’s really the same Wikipedia page but in a different language. However overall, I learned a lot about Melipona quadrifasciata and there were a lot of great information about this bee. Raymundo.marcelo (talk) 21:17, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your feedback; I went back and cited my information for the queen; thank you for catching that! I'll work on an overview for the Reproduction and RElation to Humans sections as well. Wdsieling (talk) 11:15, 5 October 2015

Overall I was very impressed by the amount of detailed included within this page. It was very clear that you spent a lot of time on this paper. I was especially impressed by the pictures that you included. Having such a wide range of images ensures that the readers have multiple references they can use to gain a clearer understanding. I went through and made some minor edits to sentence structure and grammar. This is just to ensure that the page is as clear and concise as possible. I would continue to these basics edits when you are making your own edits. I would recommend adding more sections for behavior, there is really only two sections for behavior. There are many other behaviors that could be discussed, such as mating behavior, dominance hierarchy and diet. Including these sections would make this article more complete and also ensure a more robust understanding for the readers. I would also recommend adding more to the "Colony Cycle" section which seems to be missing a significant amount of information, especially about the process of colony formation. Overall though great job and keep up the great work!

This article contains a lot of great information with a lot of details. It seems very well researched and is overall very well written. The article flows pretty well as a whole. I made a few minor grammar edits and also added a couple hyperlinks to more scientific and unknown vocabulary words. I appreciate the many images on the page, as they provide visual aids that appropriately go along with the associated text. I think the addition of more sections regarding behavior of the species would further benefit the article. For example, sections describing foraging behavior and diet, as well as defense could help the article as a whole. The addition of these sections would provide more general information of the species and help the readers understand the bee in a more general way. Overall, super job!! This article contains two interesting sections on Colony Cycle and Human Interactions. There is a lot of interesting and informative information throughout the article from the very beginning. This article benefits from the amount of photos that are available to add a visual piece of information in addition to the material already there. Some sections that would help improve the article are sections on behavior and mating. Also, as said above, information on foraging would also be interesting. Maybe some information on why they are more efficient foragers than honey bees. Overall this is was easy informative read. Tefrancis (talk) 04:20, 5 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
