Common medlar should be the default

Why doesn't "Medlar" take one to the Common medlar, Mespilus germanica, as one would expect? All the other uses are plainly secondary, and could be better handled with a hatnote to point to the disambiguation page. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:31, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
