Just added a link on the term DVT to the article; but the linked article is also unclear, so I was hoping somebody knowledgable on the subject could clarify the acronym--Pariah 04:34, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

Generalizations

edit

I removed some of the generalizations in this article. Some of the content is obvious and does not necessarily need to be stated formally: "There is a temptation to introduce algorithms that do slowly something that doctors do well and quickly. Such algorithms need to balanced against various other considerations." Andrew73 19:00, 18 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

It could be stated better. An example is some of the content of NHS Direct decision algorithms, the temptation is to build controls into medical record sosftware such as that proposed by the NHS which requires stepping through an algorithm slowly to reach an obvious conclusion. WHereas the proper use of such algorithms is to handle difficult things... Midgley (talk · contribs) 19:24, 18 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Medical algorithm in the DRAKON language

edit

I ask your advice about Medical algorithm for treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Treatment of atrial fibrillationmedical algorithm in the DRAKON language[1]

I have placed this medical algorithm for treatment of atrial fibrillation in the Russian Wikipedia (ru:Медицинский алгоритм and ru:Фибрилляция предсердий) — see the illustration on the right.

I want to ask. Maybe, this illustration should be placed into Medical algorithm also. Or will it be wrong? How do you think?
