editFrom the article -
"Although the last scheduled airline flight left in 1993, Salem has actively campaigned to bring the airlines back to McNary Field. A current proposal by Horizon Air would begin scheduled service to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the fall of 2005. Also, media and unofficial sources have floated plans to make McNary Field into a reliever airport to Portland International Airport."
This is very OLD information, I would appreciate it if someone could find out whether this has changed.
