Suggested Rewording

Quoting the article: " Weber's Line is an alternative to Wallace Line. As is the case with plant species, faunal surveys revealed that for vertebrate groups, except for birds, Wallace’s Line was not the most significant biogeographic boundary."

I don't find the wording totally clear. Would it be correct to rephrase this as follows?

"Wallace’s Line is the most significant biogeographic boundary for plant species and for birds. Weber's Line is the more significant boundary for vertebrate groups other than birds."

My cut

I removed the following sentence as it seemed to contradict the explanation given earlier in the paragraph and in other articles I had read: "Thus, for many invertebrates, and birds and butterflies, this interface is better represented by Weber’s line than Wallace’s line." Everything I've seen says that Wallace's line is significant for birds and Weber's for terrestrial vertebrates. I'm not sure which, if either, is most significant for invertebrates. --Khajidha (talk) 15:27, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
