  • The original text incorrectly includes both works in Latin translation as the Picatrix, which only refers to the second.
  • In addition, it is grossly tautological and imbalanced between the two.
  • Furthermore, a warning is missing that the Latin text is somewhat edited to remove references contrary to Christian dogma.
  • The inconsistency in dating is probably a post-mortem edition of the author's works, a common practice when books were written by hand and an author may spend many years editing and revising his text.
  • The editor is a member of the Warburg Institute's Esoterics Study Group, part of London University's Advanced Studies School, and is working at post-doctoral level.

It was a work done by the Felmish Rudolph from Brudges of the Toledo school (16th century). But it is not clear whether they were written by Maslama al-Majriti or his prudo-version. Rudolph wrote on astrolabe of Astrological-alchemical knowledge (source: The scientific dialogue linking America, Asia and Europe between the 12th and the 20thCentury, p. 437).
