Verifiability edit

The "Etonian" and the "fisherman" Mark Martins do not link to articles and do not establish notability besides claiming that they are "famous" or "sought-after." I don't mean to be trollish or anything, but I want to make sure they're verifiable. Google searches turn up almost nothing but sites referring to the racecar driver, so references to the others would be appreciated. Thanks. --TantalumTelluride 06:19, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry for my late reply. But yes, I can understand your suspicion (fisherman do not receive that much recognition). I've provided a few links that detail Martin's (fisherman) existance, albeit they are brief in mention: ESPN, About.com: Fishing, Walleyes Inc.. He is a professional fisher from Twin Lake, Michigan, and fishes quite often on Saginaw Bay, and is somewhat a local celebrity (mostly because of the name similarity), but is nevertheless noteable in the sense of being a professional fisherman. --Mrmiscellanious 06:39, 10 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the Old Etonian from the list because it is not verifiable. It may be replaced if a source is provided. --TantalumTelluride 06:02, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Mark MartinMark Martin (disambiguation) — I have requested this page be moved to Mark Martin (disambiguation) and Mark Martin (racecar driver) moved to Mark Martin.--gordonrox24 (talk) 20:11, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. No primary use. You need a clear and convincing case to replace a disambiguation page. Vegaswikian (talk) 21:39, 1 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
