Thank you so much for editing my page. This page has been changed, edited, so many times by people who don't know me or my story. I am the person that this page is about. This is not a marketing or promotional page. I am an editor and contributor to the tech community and Wikipedia understands the ethics and the rules but some of the articles posted where misrepresented me.

- Please feel free to point out specific parts of the article that you think are misinformation, and explain why the information should be considered to be wrong. Generic innuendo is not helpful.
- Note that Wikipedia articles should be written based on by independent reliable sources (rather than personal knowledge about an article's subject). Self-published sources such as an article subject's web page should usually be avoided. This is a general policy, but it is especially important in case of article subjects who have previously made apparently contradictory claims about their life to the media.

Hello there.
The entire page is wrong, my career and my early life. I don't think I have had a career but the more accurate word is a Biography. I would prefer that my bio is taken from my own website. www.mariemejamme.com I am writing my book to tell my story.
I hope you can help me change the page, if not please delete my page. I love Wikipedia but this page does not represent me or my work.
I was invited by CNN in 2012 to talk about the Diaspora, living in the UK. I was trying to explain how the Senegalese class system has failed me. I tried to explain the situation about my mother (born from an aristocrat family in Senegal, died in January 2019) and the Father (I never knew). The moment was stressful. Time was short and I could not explain all the details.
I could not explain my life entire story. I never said I got an MBA, I was studying at the University of Surrey to improve my english and writing and got some personal problems. I was speaking english with the French Journalist, she translated the article and mispresented my words.
The Italian Journalist from Republica misrepresented me, I actually sat with her, got her coffee. I was sad to read that I terminated the interview. She pushed me that day. She was harassing me daily... Here is her message: <Hello Marieme, this is Rosita Rijtano from the Italian newspaper La Repubblica and I would love to interview you. Do you have half an hour to dedicate me after 5 pm, please? This interview is very important for me and the newspaper :) >
I gave her plenty of time. This was in Barcelona at MWC where my Foundation was featured. I work with Refugees and marginalised girls. She never asked about the CNN Interview (that is false).

Hello, all. In an attempt to reconcile some of the issues raised in the template and make this article more accurate, I'll be editing this article in the coming 48 hours, adding a few corrections and updates to the text. The corrections are based on extensive research and a personal interview with subject of the article, which included receiving access to her personal archive. - Hi Shani, looking forward to your improvements, but please be aware that Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources only. Personal communications with the article subject may be useful as background information, but the information in the article must not rely on them. This is especially important in case of people who have made contradictory claims about their life in the past.
- Also, we cannot base content decisions on unsubstantiated "fake news" type accusations against reliable sources. (If you are engaging in deeper journalistic research about the matter, which could of course be a valuable endeavour even if the result can't be cited in this Wikipedia article, I would suggest to also hear the other side. E.g. ask Rosita Rijtano from La Repubblica about the allegations that she had engaged in harassment against Mariéme Jamme or misrepresented what happened at their interview, and ask Sabine Cessou from RFI about the allegation that she mistranslated what Mariéme Jamme said about an MBA.)

I am in the middle of rewriting the early life section, which is full of mistakes, and referencing everything is my main concern, especially as there are conflicting and inaccurate information already published online. I have delved into the two instances you mentioned, and others, trying to reconcile the information. The complexity here stems only from the fact that there have been misinformation already published by various sources. For instance, Rosita, who wrote the notorious article for La Republica, no longer works for them, but I have seen a correspondence with her where she admitted that some of what was reported was indeed not true, that she meant no harm and there's nothing she can do about it now. As for Radio France, lots of mistakes there, like Jamme having an MBA (she doesn't), or working in places where she did not. There are even mistakes in the CNN interview. This actually does not surprise me. I have experienced first hand how the media can mis-present what was said in an interview or even report inaccurate details or even things that were not said. For many of them, they are doing you a favor for even writing about you and not necessarily care of presenting the absolute truth, but rather about what would sell more. This becomes even more apparent when the interviewee does not speak the native language. But putting all that aside, I have to say I do not believe contacting the reporters years later will be helpful. Even if I do and they tell me their side, I cannot quote them on it, nor can they change the fact that it was published and have been online all this time. So I still need to find a way to convey the accurate details, as I heard them from Jamme herself, and reconcile them with what is already online. The only solution I have right now, is to clearly state that there have been conflicting and sometimes erroneous reports online (adding all the references of course), and then state what Jamme's version is, linking to her own website as a reference. If there is any other technique you believe would be helpful here, please let me know. Marieme uses the title 'Lady' on her website and elsewhere but I can't find a reference to the award of an honour which would support that use.
