Birthplace edit

According to her biography, linked in the article, she was born at Schloss Helmsdorf (a manor house in Immenstaad am Bodensee at the Lake Constance) in the German Empire in 1898, though it is undoubtable that her patents married in 1896 (Ernst Probst (2008), Superfrauen 7 – Film und Theater. Biographien berühmter Schauspielerinnen in Wort und Bild (in German), GRIN Verlag, p. 59, ISBN 978-3-638-93467-1): the question is if still in Germany or yet in the States...

The biography at upenn.edu continues "Soon after the family moved to Philadelphia and Margaret and her two siblings grew up in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city".

A reference stating her birthplace was Philadelphia - Department of Records. "Margarethe M. Majer, 13 Dec 1898; "Pennsylvania, Philadelphia City Births, 1860-1906"". FamilySearch. p. 378. - I can't control, because it's locked.

Anyway there is a contradiction about her birthplace. It could be, that the biography at upenn.edu is just right: the marriage took place in Germany, where Margaret was born 2 years later, and "soon after the family moved to Philadelphia". Doubting, ThomasPusch (talk) 13:58, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
