Marco Minnemann is one of the worlds greatest drummers, playing clinics all over the world and releasing CD's as well. He is extremely noteworthy in the drumming community as he has shattered 4 limb coordination boundaries previously thought impossible. He is better known in Europe than in the US, but no question he is immensely important in the world of drumming and well circulated. His work is well published through books, videos, and other instructional materials.

i would hate to ever think of such an article as this regardless of citable sources or not to be baleeted from wikipedia. marco is one of, if not the best drummer to ever grace a drumset and is quite well known among drummers. -shawn phase 70.17.208.71 08:53, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

• Agreed. I've flagged some of the claims as requiring citations; in fact the whole article is not helped by the lack of references. Allmusic, normally a useful source for notable musicians, is no help here as they have no biography for Minnemann or review texts on his albums. Also added WP:PERC to this page in the hope that some experts on drumming might have views on the article content. AllyD (talk) 18:29, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
• The "Biography" section is basically the same as the biography on his own website. The problem is that removing it will leave the article with minimal content and given the lack of an Allmusic biography, very little to rebuild upon. AllyD (talk) 18:42, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Dobyblue (talk) 16:01, 1 June 2011 (UTC)How come there is no mention of his work with The Police Experience, I thought he had the gig after watching the documentary with ex-manager Copeland and the "ultimate Police tribute band auditions" but the official website of the tribute band still lists the old drummer. Anyone have any info on this one?

Information without proper dates

• July 18 which year? Someone please check and add. And maybe find a reference...

"He's currently on a world tour with thrash metal band Kreator."

• I think this was in 2009, at least according to the Kreator article. Can someone confirm?

Fixing issues (verifiability, NPOV, grammar...)

Note re: above comments: I stopped by as part of the WP:COPYEDITORS backlog elimination drive, but while at it removed all promotional & unverifiable copy; replaced unreliable / primary sources (nearly all of them) with more widely-recognized outlets; axed some bits that just didn't seem important (e.g., almost in Dream Theater); & added info confirming notability. The article isn't comprehensive, & the discography could use some work, but I've removed the "multiple issues" template. Knifegames 23:28, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
