This is Marc Canter - reacvhing out to the folks who edit this page.
I have to say that the writing on this page is biased against me. If there is a resistance to me writing about myself, then I think you should also look at the biased approach taken against me - by people who do not share my political beliefs. I have contributed to the open social networking effort, open standards, OpenID, FOAF, ourmedia.org, structuredblogging and many other lesser known efforts. I helped organize the Data Sharing summits - yet NONE of these facts are even mentioned, while me being a "3rd generation red diaper baby" is in the first paragraph. I am not a politician, I am a technologist. My beliefs on technology should be highlighted, not my politics. My blog is about the two books I have written, not just for crtiticising tech CEOs. I shoudlbe spending more time criticising wikipedia authors! There isn't even a mention of my book: "How to build the Open Mesh" or it's followup "How to build a Digital City". Or any of my beliefs on 'dashboards' being a key notion for a distributed architecture of our future. eg. this wikipedia article has made no attempt to understand what I am about, who I am or what I stand for. I have recently moved to Cleveland to teach at CWRU and start a new company to innovate workforce development. No mention of that. I have launched several social networks and worked with over 20 corporate clients helping them navigate the social networking world. No mention of: - ROTCLink.com - for the U.S. Army - leamiche.donnamoderna.com - itimes.com - AOL - Ruckus Networks - aSmallWorld - WeeWorld - Sac Kings - RadioOne - Bell Canada - Cyama - GTChannel - PaidContent - SocialChord (RocklandNY.tv) Please get rid of teh anti-Marc Canter rhetoric and state the facts - please. |
