"Mandarin gown", "Mandarin dress" and "qipao" are the same thing, as far as I can see. Probably should be merged with Qipao. Lantianer 05:49, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it should be merged. The qipao was originally Manchurian (not "mostly for Han", although eventually it came to be regarded as quintessentially "Chinese"), as was the Mandarin gown. Bathrobe (talk) 15:05, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
