editIs this the "Commando Detachment" within the Groupement Tactique Inter-Armes, or the GTIA itself?[1]

- A GTIA is just another word for task force, most often a combined arms battalion. It's a strictly general term - like "brigade" or "platoon" and never refers to a specific unit.
- Your typical Francophone army should have multiple GTIAs. Maybe somebody with a French military background can explain it better, but that's the gist of it. --Katangais (talk) 05:01, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. -- The Anome (talk) 12:30, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
