Mahabharata is a 5th Veda according to Devi bhagwat Purana, Mahabharata which contains the following five characteristics :-- (1) Creation of the universe, (2) Secondary creation, (3) Dynasties (4) Manvantaras and (5) The description of Manus and other kings. Mahabharatha was also translated to Telugu somewhere between 11 Century CE and 14 Century CE by Kavitrayam (Trinity of poets), consisting of Nannayya, Thikkana and Yerrapragada (also known as Errana) with title ఆంధ్ర మహాభారతం(read Andhra Mahabharatam).
