Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.

Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs)

Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.

Immediate Failures edit

  • It is a long way from meeting any one of the six good article criteria -
  • It contains copyright infringements -
  • It has, or needs, cleanup banners that are unquestionably still valid. These include{{cleanup}}, {{POV}}, {{unreferenced}} or large numbers of {{citation needed}}, {{clarify}}, or similar tags. (See also {{QF-tags}}). -
  • It is not stable due to edit warring on the page. -

Lede edit

Thanks, all of these have been addressed. The reason I used "fan polls" in the lede was because some of the polls were fan votes, though to make the part more general I've changed it to simply "polls" to also include the ones that weren't votes. General edit

  • In the initial planning meeting of Puella Magi Madoka Magica - you still need to link the first time you talk about something in the body. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I think a sentence at least on what Madoka Magica is, when it was released etc. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Image is weird on the left - could we move to the right? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Madoka was designed by Ume Aoki.[4] Aoki initially - starting a sentence with the last word of the previous is not a great look. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Link Magical Girl in body et al. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • and designed a very "cute" magical girl costume - is it "very cute" as a quote, or is very part of wikipedia's voice? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • After seeing the character design, the president of SHAFT, Mitsutoshi Kubota, thought that it was a good that the production team to got in touch with a new style, but it also brought challenges to the animation production - worth saying what SHAFT is, and needs a c/e as it doesn't make sense as is. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Ultimate Madoka - italics. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Ultimate Madoka's form has been described as "the ultimate form that has undergone a super evolution by fighting infinite space-time" and was called "Hyper Ultimate Madoka" in the series draft, but was later changed to "Ultimate Madoka - according to whom? Also the quotes at the end. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • In an interview with Animate, Yūki remembers how she was still a teenager at the time of the series' production, and thus had decided to do her best with the role. - what does this mean? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • In an interview with Animate, Yūki remembers how she was still a teenager at the time of the series' production, and thus had decided to do her best with the role. She felt that the material was interesting from the time she saw a document explaining the series when she auditioned for the role, and thought that Madoka Magica would become something that many people would enjoy. Among the things she enjoyed the most while working on the series include the unfolding of the story, and the balancing of a serious story with the character designs and the usage of the cast. - this whole bit seems promo-y, and could be shortened to a few words really. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • In the English dub - link dub. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
All of these have been addressed. I had some difficulty simplying the part about Yūki since it was intended to be a paragraph on her thoughts on working on the series, to compare to the similar part about Cabanos. I've also clarified the Ultimate Madoka description and introduced both the franchise and Shaft inline. As for the "cute" thing, I presume it's a quote, but I have no way to check as the source is an offline Japanese book that I don't have a copy of.
