MTA Bus Facilites

MTA Bus Company in The Bronx, on the QBx1, formerly part of Queens Surface, repainted in standard MTA livery.

Currently Operated MTA Bus Depots; Formerly, all 7 private bus lines in The Bronx, Westchester, Queens and Brooklyn.

Bronx region

• Eastchester Depot; former New York Bus Service (NYBS) facility
• Yonkers Depot; former Liberty EXPRESS Bus (Liberty Lines Inc.) facility (actually in Westchester County, New York)

Brooklyn region

• Spring Creek Depot; former Command Bus Company facility (All buses out of this garage are now wheelchair accessible.)

Queens region

• College Point Depot; former Queens Surface Bus Corporation facility (All buses out of this garage are now wheelchair accessible.)
• Far Rockaway Depot; former Green Lines Bus Company satellite facility
• John F. Kennedy Depot; former Green Lines Bus Company main facility
• Baisley Park Depot; former Jamaica Buses, Inc. facility
• LaGuardia Bus Depot; former Triboro Coach Corporation facility

The Q5 and Q85 cross the Nassau County border to go the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream. The Q2 and Q110 leave Queens County as they run along Hempstead Turnpike and onto the Cross Island Parkway where they re-enter city-limits. The Q46 runs along Lakeville Road in Lake Success, Nassau County upon entering Long Island Jewish Medical Center. The Bx16 bus runs in to Westchester County, but only for a block for each branch. The Q111 enters Nassau County to reach its part-time terminal in Cedarhurst. The Q113 serves the Nassau communities of Cedarhurst and Inwood to reach its destination in Far Rockaway. The BxM3 leaves The Bronx to reach its northern terminus in Yonkers.

Merge proposal

The article Buses in New York City basically covers all of the information covered in here and at the New York City Transit buses article. The information should be merged into each article, and then afterwards, I will suggest that article for deletion. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 16:06, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Missing info

The article is missing the whole Nassau group. NCISfan2 (talk) 17:29, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

The MTA doesn't operate in Nassau County anymore, except for very small portions of Queens routes. See the NICE bus article for service in Nassau County. Acps110 ^{(talk • contribs)} 17:42, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
