Category:Television channels and stations established in 2009

Who keeps erasing the "television channels and stations established in 2009" category? --68.37.66.81 (talk) 15:18, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

I am, because there is no announced air date. The category is called "Channels and stations established in 2009", not "Channels and stations that might begin airing in 2009, but we don't know yet". Judging from the lack of carriage for this network so far, 2010 seems much more likely, but until it actually comes on the air, founding cats stay out of the article. I see you have a username now. The category remains deleted until we actually see it on the air. Nate (chatter) 13:55, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Confirmed. --NewYorkCity101 (talk) 21:21, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

FiOS is not IPTV

This article incorrectly stated that Verizon FiOS was an IPTV service. FiOS does not run IPTV for it's main channels and uses QAM over Fibre. I've changed the article to remove the IPTV reference. Dewdude (talk) 15:47, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Epix coming soon to AT&T U-verse

Last night I discovered that all the Epix channels were coming to AT&T U-verse very soon. Here is the proof of what I discovered on my U-verse box:

891 - Epix
892 - Epix W
893 - Epix 2
896 - Epix DI
1891 - Epix HD
1892 - Epix W HD
1893 - Epix 2 HD
1894 - Epix 3 HD

I also discovered last week that the movie Star Trek Into Darkness was playing on one of the Epix channels. Look familiar to you? AdamDeanHall (talk) 23:15, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Improve this article

Both the Background and History sections are too verbose and filled with excruciating detail. Can someone please condense it? Lynxx2 (talk) 05:48, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Pronunciation

I just saw an online commercial for an original Epix series, and the narrator pronounced the channel's name as "epics," not "epic" as indicated in this article. Should the pronunciation be changed? Or is there a source for the "epic" pronunciation?dancheatham (talk) 10:10, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Speedily closed. This is an uncontroversial request, the page will be moved on the 15th (EST) once the announced name change takes effect. An RM is unnecessary and will only waste editors' time. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:50, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
