SI units edit

I had a look at this page and had the typical frustration of the SI influenced engineer: tonnes are non-SI. But for some reason wikipedia's convert function assumes that SI only goes up to kg, which is clearly incorrect. SI also has an equivalent for the tonne, the megagram (Mg). There also is the Gg for ships for instance. Asking at Template talk:Convert#Mg vs tonne was the correct thing to do. I will respond there to say that convert does support all SI prefixes. Johnuniq (talk) 02:30, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
