Well well well... looks like I'm not the only person who was interested in there being an LSM page on Wikipedia. It looks to me like somebody was just waiting for the page to pop up so that he or she could make additions to make the page even more accurate. And given the nature of the additions, especially that link to that one site where Lutherans are apparently hot, I'm guessing that that person might just well have a site dedicated to an addiction to him... Hmmm... for some reason it isn't clear how I make my own contribution to this discussion, aside from "editing" this page in the way that I am doing now. Good to hear from you, Jimmy. And it was great to see you in San Diego. Again, I can't even begin to describe how excited I am that you are on National Council again. :-) You are awesome, both as a person and as a co-worker and co-leader. I only wish that I was on it with you so we could continue to work together, but I trust that, in this small church, we will cross paths many times again. Anyways, I actually was trying to waste time and thought to see if anyone had put up an LSM site yet... a few of us had talked about it last year, and I had thought about it, but I wanted to say so so much that I was scared to get started myself. So, thanks for getting the ball rolling, Jimmy. I'll do some more thinking now in my "semi-retirement" and continue to add and ajust as the Spirit moves me. Give me a call or shoot me an e-mail if you want to talk about this sometime in an organized fashion rather than just plugging away individually. It'd be fun. Oh, and this isn't Ben, by the way... just your humble servant Mark, who is not "blessed" with any sites about any such addictions. :-)... Mark22:07, 9 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I see that this page is marked as not having verifiable sources these days. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to accurately reference the history of LSM - very little of the documents from the history of this organization are available online, and the majority of the documents that do exist are scattered throughout various files at the Chicago storage site for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Hopefully, the powers that be will recognize our difficulty and not come down upon us. Jimmy 04:21, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
