Is the period of polar day correct? It seems wierd that it would only start in June but last until early August... It would make more sense if it started in early May and ended in early August. Famartin (talk) 09:13, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wind speeds on what planet?

edit

Removed this claim:

, wind speed in winter often exceeds 50 m/s[1].

The claim is not in the source, and it is beyond dubious so no point adding the dubious tag. This equates to 112 mi/hr or 180 km/hr. The windiest place on earth has an average wind speed of less than 15 m/s. In interior Siberia, the average wind speed everywhere is less than 6 m/s.[1] Wind speeds in interior Siberia are generally much lower than in the summer or on the rest of the continent because of Siberian High.
