Should this page be deleted for plagiarism, or merely cited more completely?

For example: the Description section is copied word for word from Dr. James Hilty's Illinois Wildflowers piece, without mentioning Hilty or his copyright. Illinois Wildflowers is listed as an external link, but that doesn't credit the man whose words form the bulk of the Wikipedia article.

How does Wikipedia generally handle this kind of situation?

We delete the lengthy plagiarized section, reverting to the previous version which was not plagiarized. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. DS (talk) 15:51, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
