Untitled edit

Lucy Wortham James seems like a really interesting person who contributed a lot to the Maramec Spring and St. James areas. I think you can add a little more to the introduction area to summarize the whole article a little better. You can add a sentence or 2 about where she is from, her family, her education, and the contributions she made.

Early Life edit

I think the information in this section is good for the amount of sources there are, however the sentence flow is a little choppy. Some of the sentences can be either combined or elongated to help it sound a little better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tgot richie (talkcontribs) 17:11, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Feedback from Prof. P edit

I'm so glad to see this page created. This is a good start. This page does need some work still, however, to ensure that it is stable. There are a lot of sections within this article that can be linked out. I've linked to her from the Marmec Springs page—what other pages can we edit to add a link to her? James Foundation? Lets add some years to the personal life section. Did she study 'under] Theodor Leschetizky? If so, let's edit his page to note her, and that his pupils went on to do more than play concert piano. The article has also been tagged as needing more specific categories. Can we divide her "personal life" section into more specifics? e.g. "education and musical career," and something on public image or society pages.... Let's also be sure to note how unique it was for her to have such an education, and to be in control of so much money. Perhaps we can link here to some general history pages about women's education and rights in the US at the time? Let's get this page stabilized by December 2016.
