Copyright issue

The text appears to have been cribbed from loustettner.com/biography.htm. This says that it's © Louis Stettner; there's no mention of any Jack O'Kelley or similar, or of copyleft (let alone of GFDL). -- Hoary (talk) 07:11, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Unreferenced

The main, prose section of this article is entirely unreferenced. Until it's referenced, it gets the UNREFERENCED tag. Anybody who disagrees is welcome to say why, right here. If there's agreement to remove the tag, then and only then it can go.

This tag is often placed on articles that are entirely suspect, and there are plenty of people who tout themselves on Wikipedia as noteworthy photographers. Stettner is an entirely different case: he's a genuinely noteworthy photographer and an excellent one, and some time ago I put my money where my mouth is/was by buying a copy of an excellent Flammarion anthology (Desire) of his work. There is no allegation that this material is bogus or that Stettner doesn't deserve an article. However, material on even a first-rate photographer must be authoritatively sourced. -- Hoary (talk) 02:12, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

work in public collections

Suggest dropping this section and naming a few public collections holding Stettner's works. His work—and even his political history, alluded to in the article but not discussed— is worthy of a fuller article than this, but this article looks more like a résumé.
