I went to that school for four years (under at least one mad Welsh Nationalist teacher) believe me, if Roald Dahl was making the 15 mile trek from Llandaff (with its plethora of junior schools) to Llancarfan five tiems a week, we'd have most definitely been told about it over and over again...
