Talk:List of wind-related railway accidents

Latest comment: 4 years ago by Dankdevice in topic Lots of junk in this article

Tsunami edit

Tsunami accidents are included in this wind related topic, as there are not enough tsunami accidents to warrant a separate topic. Wind and tsunamis are of course both natural phenominums. Tabletop (talk) 11:46, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Earthquake edit

Accidents caused by earthquake might also be included.

Floods edit

Accidents caused by floods might also be included.

Flood cause problems:

  • directly, by washing the train off its rails.
  • indirectly, by washing away tracks and bridges unbeknownst to the train driver. Tabletop (talk) 09:40, 28 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lots of junk in this article edit

there's a whole bunch of entries in this list that either aren't railway "accidents" per se or dont involve wind or trains at all. plus all the info about rail gauges, while tangentially related, i dont believe belongs here. i'll leave this page alone for a while to see if anyone sees this & disagrees with me, but if there are no complaints i'm gonna remove like 1/2 of this page at some point in the near future.
