The argument in the last Edit summary says why change Kosovo and Palestine, not the defense of the TRNC. But there is a big difference between Northern Cyprus and Kosovo/Palestine. Northern Cyprus (not North Cyprus) is recognized by only one country, while Kosovo and Palestine are recognized by more than half of the UN countries. When you open for example Morphou and Kyrenia, the pages are named with the Cypriot (not Turkish) name and the de iure country is listed in the infobox of the first place, while Peja and Nablus are viewed as belonging to Kosovo/Palestine. Thus, the consistent and established practice is to view them as separate countries. We try to be as consistent and apolitical here as possible, even if it is not always simple and unambiguous, but your edit obviously goes against these principles. And since your IPs come from Turkey, I clearly don't know the effort for an objective and non-politically motivated approach. FromCzech (talk) 05:54, 17 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
