Qualifications for inclusion

edit

Wherever possible the inclusion of someone in this list should be justified by an appropriate reference. In this case 'appropriate' means:

  • a credible individual reference citing the person's notability e.g. "inventor of x", "builder of the first locomotive in y"
  • inclusion in the "hall of fame" of a credible source e.g. Ransome-Wallis, P. (1959). Illustrated Encyclopedia of World Railway Locomotives (2001 republication ed.). Dover Publications, Inc. p. 500. ISBN 0-486-41247-4., Chapter 11 - Concise Biographies of Famous Locomotive Designers and Engineers.

However, please be patient, as this may take time to evolve! Bermicourt (talk) 17:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
