Community band edit
Would it be worthwhile to include a community band on this page? The Calhoun-Isles Community Band in the Uptown district of Minneapolis, Minnesota changed its name to City of Lakes Community Band in November 2018 to distance itself from Calhoun's pro-slavery legacy.[1] This followed the renaming of the former Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis to Bde Maka Ska, the traditional Dakota name for the lake.[1]> Eastmain (talk • contribs) 19:26, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Calhoun High School, Merrick, New York edit
Why is this on the list as it says "(Calhoun High School, Merrick, New York, was named for local educator Sanford H. Calhoun.)?"Johnnyboy755 (talk) 06:10, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
This was an erroneous posting from the start. The school administrator had nothing to do with the pro-slavery politician, and I removed it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.54.196.224 (talk) 20:46, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
