Sources
editThe column on "Website" should not be the main purpose of a column in the table for sources. The main need, per WP:V and WP:RS, is for a verifiable, reliable secondary source, for any and all claims made in Wikipedia. Sometimes, a primary source, such as the website of the company or government entity building a wind farm, is the best we have, at least temporarily. But I do think that "website" should not be the point of the column; a verifiable source should be. If we are to make the assertions made in this list, we want to find better sources than mere company websites, whether those sources are accessble via the internet (always preferable, per WP:V) or not. - Agree, as WP:Stand-alone_lists#Common_selection_criteria suggests; I guess the option "Short, complete lists of every item that is verifiably a member of the group" is the one until a country has like 50 offshore wind farms. I think the Website column is fine, but Refs column definitely need to be added. I revised the UK template in List of offshore wind farms in Denmark to suit most countries. Amount of columns is an ongoing issue; the many parameters on 4C is bewildering. TGCP (talk) 23:17, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Another column should be price achieved (per kWh or MWh). As Hinkley Point C nuclear power station will cost £92.50/MWh, a new benchmark has been established, and offshore wind seems less costly. TGCP (talk) 20:56, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Blyth
editThere's another offshore wind farm at Blyth (the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Project), built in 2017: Source: [1], [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheJoff (talk • contribs) 09:49, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

editShould this be added?
- In a section called "Under construction", yes please; see List_of_offshore_wind_farms#Top_10_under_construction. When a reliable source says it has been commissioned, we can include it in the main section. Making a wind farm is a process of several steps, of which power is just one. Load factors
editThis paper lists recent load factors on page 5-7. Seems to be similar to capacity factor, but I'm not sure. . Source: Tools and Other Data: Draft Annual Load Factors 2014-15 TGCP (talk) 20:31, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

dogger A
editDogger Bank is now operational, and generating power for the nation grid, though will continue to be constructed until 2026. Should it be moved to the operational table?

- I think if it is referred to as Dogger Bank A it could be moved to the operational table.
- Is the assumption that an entry should be moved to the operational table as soon as one (or more) turbines are powered up and connected to the UK grid? Or should we wait until all 95 turbines are noted as being commissioned?
- Alternatively, should an additional table be created titled "partially operational" or "being commissioned"? Zmsh99 (talk) 22:52, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
Green Volt floating offshore wind project
editBilled as "The first commercial-scale floating offshore windfarm in Europe" this should probably be on this page, but not sure where. It apparently has planning consent for both onshore and offshore works, not sure about grid connection... https://greenvoltoffshorewind.com/greenvoltoffshoreconsent/. There may be other INTOG projects missing too see https://www.crownestatescotland.com/news/intog-13-projects-selected-to-support-green-innovation-and-help-decarbonise-north-sea, but not familiar with status of these.
