Talk:List of international adoption scandals

Please expand this article as the adoption scandals currently listed are only a short list of the stories out there.Sweetmoose6 (talk) 03:35, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please take care not to promote this business. edit

If a person were to read the lead as it is now, they may think it is a lucrative business (keep in mind also, some people have poor english skills). You might balance it, or better, replace it, with a mention of the penalties handed out. According to the policy WP:LEAD the opening should summarize the contents of the article, so summing up what is there, rather than commenting on it is possibly justification enough for change. Non - notable case edit

My change was deleted citing that it was a non-notable case. Kindly, explain what is the criteria to decide if a case is notable. Also, kindly specify why should only notable cases be added on this page rather than those of significance and relevance. Thanks much!! Wilkn (talk) 12:14, 11 March 2020 (UTC)wilknReply

Hello Wilkn. There are multiple problems with this addition and that is why I have deleted it again. First, you have huge a conflict of interest as you are trying to promote your book and your personal story with this addition. You should not be adding anything about you, your court cases or your book to Wikipedia. Secondly, please see Wikipedia's rules about verifiability, and reliable sources. Your book is self-published and has received no coverage from any secondary sources (see the book's AFD. It is not a reliable or notable source. The case will only be considered notable or significant when reliable independent secondary sources write about it. So far that has not happened. Slp1 (talk) 21:39, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
