Why have most of my edits removed, basically removed all the new universities that ar ecoming up, some of these have been:

  1. Approved by the Haryana Govt Assembly, already made into an act of law
  2. Approved by the Haryana Govt cabinet, already made into bill, awaiting the enactment as law, it is just a matter of time,
  3. Some of the institutes have been upgraded to the universities, see the point 1 and 2 above, such as Haryana civil aviation institute to be turned into university (announced, law awaiting enactment, bill being prepared), Sri krishna Ayurvda university 9current collage), etc
  4. Some Haryana campus of Deemed universities must be captured here too, such as AIIMS Delhi's Haryana extension campus, it has students there from AIIMS Delhi quota.

Please restore all these but insert a note about the status. It is much easier to capture all, including the upcoming ones, than to add those later one by one in future. Whoever is reverting might not thinking of adding these later, but they might not be on wikipedia forever, so better to leave all the "announced universities" in there, include a note of the current status. Please use a more pragmatic approach, with status note. All my updates has link to the announcements. All these institutes will need to be added within few ones one by one any way, messier that way as the risk is the list might be incomplete. Thanks. 2404:E800:E61E:452:6065:C120:E455:8602 (talk) 18:55, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

To points 1-3, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. An Act does not mean an institute exists. A Bill definitely doesn't mean it. I can show you examples of institutes that took 20 years to go Bill to Act to establishment. Once an institute exists it can be added.
To point 4, a campus is not an institute.
Your so-called "pragmatic approach" means five times more work, trying to understand if something exists or not. --Muhandes (talk) 21:46, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Due balance: List of Institutes of National Importance and renowned institutes' campuses in Haryana edit

We should have a section inserted for the List of Institutes of National Importance in Haryana, see item 61, 99, 111 and 127. These get special recognition and special funding. Most are rated higher than the obscure institutes already documented in the article. And, why are the polytechnics (nearly 200 in Haryana, better handle it through wiki category), etc cluttering the article while institutes of much higher reputes are kept out such as

  • Institutes of National Importance,
  • Extended campuses of renowned institutes,
  • UGC recognised institutes (e.g. Autonomous Colleges, Colleges With Potential for Excellence, full list on the right side.
  • Upcoming institutes, even the crystalball policy clearly states if there is reliably sourced coverage of likely to happen event that has not happened yet, it is retained at wiki, e.g. yet to be released movie articles, upcoming elections, etc. Same concept applies.

Due balance. Sweating the small stuff and leaving out the big fishes. All these must be captured, under the separate subheadings for the clarity, with the appropriate secondary sources. All editors, please use the collaborative enhancements instead of repeated reverts, undo, etc.

Links for the verification: Central universities of Har, State universities, UGC list of HAR Deemed universities, HAR private uni, etc. Worth cross checking against the lists from Haryana govt websites and/or independent sources. Please drop the links below if you have. Drop a note too if you perform the cross-checks so that others do not have to repeat it. Thanks.

I suggest you start discussion at WT:INEI, this applies to all other state-wise lists. --Muhandes (talk) 07:18, 26 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the suggestion. I will spend sometime reading that forum. Once I get a feel of that forum and feel ready I will post it there. I do not want to jump the gun, waste their time by reinventing the wheel. Let other people, who have been around there on that forum much longer, offer a common solution for all states. Whichever common solution we come up with, we would need to make sure do not become rigid and we must remain open to changes from the newer editors. 202.156.182.84 (talk) 17:54, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

new university edit

Today Haryana Vidhan Sabha passed a bill/law, to create a new university Maharishi Balmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal. Legally this university will come into existence when this bill gets notified in the gazatte (next step), though it may take some more time to operationalise it (such as temporarily operate it from another university's campus) and stablise it (build its own campus), etc. My guesstimate, it may start admitting student from this May-June academic session from a borrowed campus. We must have common standard as to when does a university gets documented, e.g. a mechanism to capture those announced by the govt but no bill passed by the govt bill passed by not yet operationalised, those already functioning should be in anyway. 202.156.182.84 (talk) 18:01, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Again, I suggest WT:INEI as the place to discuss such things. Not that WP:INEI is overly active, but this page has zero visibility, so even if someone has something to say, they wont see the discussion here. --Muhandes (talk) 18:20, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I will try to get involved there. You might be the lone ranger there, which means bulk of work falls on you. try to recruit some proteges. 202.156.182.84 (talk) 22:39, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hopefully I just did. --Muhandes (talk) 09:50, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

FYI, new draft articles edit

I have submitted the draft article on Maharishi Balmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal and Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, Karnal, as well enhanced the earlier one-liner and submitted Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University article. There is new IILM university bill approved by Haryana govt. I assume it is different from NIILM university (I just tried to improve their article, its still rubbish, needs more help), but might be related to the same group. Will create an article on it as more details become available in the sources. In the meantime, please feel free to review, enhance, submit, approve the drafts. Thanks. 202.156.182.84 (talk) 22:39, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I started going over all private universities in India and adding articles, but I didn't have time to go past Jharkhand. If you wish to add articles, some very simple examples I created which are easy to reproduce: Al-Falah University, SRM University, Haryana, Starex University. --Muhandes (talk) 10:01, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the help. We both are using similar template. This works well. See you around. I pity you, for you have been spending lots of time alone across all these articles. I will try to visit from time to time. For the existing articles, rephrasing etc I would not make changes myself, rather make suggestion on talk page and let you or other original editors consider my suggestions and make those changes themselves. This keeps things sweet and nice, while avoiding unpleasant edit wars, etc. In case original editors are no longer watching these pages, you are welcome to take my suggestions on board, okay to reject some suggestions, just consider all with open mind. It would be great if you start recruiting proteges who can help you, Just give more love and kindness and invite them to add these education articles to their watch list. I have an editor who seem to be online always, I will leave a message on his talkpage to ask him to add these pages to his watch list, just guide him initially and you might get a helping hand. Thanks for all dedicated long-ranger your contributions. We need more people like you. And, we need find ways to get more helping hands behind you. 202.156.182.84 (talk) 10:18, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Great, Most important, have fun. --Muhandes (talk) 12:08, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

New universities: Please add below all the newly announced universities edit

  • New Operational Universities - included in the article/list

These have become operational, eg VC appointed, temporary campus allocated, own campuses under construction and admission to courses have commenced. All of these have been included to the list in the article:

  • Newly announced yet non-operational universities - not included in the article/list
  • DAV Women's University, Yamunanagar has been approved but it is not yet operational. Please see this citation[1] It does not yet have a temporary/permanent campus or students. I have not add this to the article list yet. All are welcome to create the article on this university.

Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 16:50, 28 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
