Historic districts and kingdoms edit

Either this article or the individual district articles need more attention to historic subdivisions. Some that have come to my attention are:

  • Sometime after the 1950 revolution Rolpa was created out of part of Salyan and part of Pyuthan. Old British maps show most of it belonging to Salyan.
  • Historic Seoraj (सिउराज?) district was a bone of contention between the Gorkha state and the British in the Anglo-Nepalese War of the early 1800s. Now it's merged into Kapilvastu.

I'm best acquainted in Rapti Zone and adjacents to the east. Probably there are other instances of district borders changing in other parts of Nepal. LADave (talk) 18:05, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

List of districts of NepalList of districts in Nepal – I found some grammatical mistake in the title of this article. Fade258 (talk) 14:11, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose move. These are Nepal's districts. Where's the grammatical mistake? O.N.R. (talk) 16:38, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Note that the article was already moved to List of districts in Nepal without closing this discussion. Should it be moved back? JIP | Talk 22:31, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Adding something to the archive as the user requested me to share my thoughts. Actually, both "in Nepal" and "of Nepal" are correct but he is perhaps following the style of this article about Indian districts. However, I don't know which one is accurately correct per WP:MOS, as I don't have vast idea about Nepali geographical features or national affairs.  A.A Prinon  Leave a dialogue 10:10, 8 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
