@HurricaneTracker495: I know why Jason Rees stopped working on this article, and this is because lumping depressions and deep depressions is causing a huge work. As such, I decided to publish the article and propose a split to help Jason Rees if he's going to come back on this article. I plan to move only sandbox of Jason Rees, and this was it. • Support As they are entirely different statuses. NoahTalk 16:44, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

*Ditch article completely no need. They are non notable events. Winds less then 39mph. If we have this, we should have List of tropical storms in the Atlantic and List of tropical depressions in the Atlantic. --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 23:14, 2 December 2020 (UTC) *See below. --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 18:17, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why? Didn't you realize that completing tropical cyclones by intensity series of articles is one of our project goals? Note that Chicdat is working on List of tropical storms in the Atlantic, and I'm strongly agree that we should have these articles. SMB99thx my edits! 01:59, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SMB99thx: and excuse me if it’s after 12:30AM , what about List of tropical depressions in the Atlantic. I do not see how BOB 02 killed 98 people. Yes, notable depressions do happen, the only problem is a lack of notability. HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 16:39, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
That Atlantic TD list will and should be made. β™« Hurricanehink (talk) 17:12, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Im sorry @HurricaneTracker495: but I am not seeing how the fact that we only have a few articles on tropical depressions and that some have been merged in the Atlantic, means we shouldn't have an overall list of tropical depressions in the NIO. Especially since you acknowledge that some of the systems have caused a significant amount of deaths. I will also note that the Atlantic will get such a list I time.Jason Rees (talk) 17:36, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment - I was going to ignore the fact that @SMB99thx: published this sandbox behind my back and without my permission, however, I strongly feel that depressions and deep depressions, tropical depressions etc should have a separate list for each basin. Firstly, some of these so-called depressions will have winds of 39 mph or more, while several have caused a significant amount of deaths and damages. Secondly, I feel that by including tropical storms and tropical depressions in the tropical cyclones by intensity series of articles, it will make the series more complete.Jason Rees (talk) 23:38, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
About your point, I strongly agree that these lists should be separate and not lumped in together. For @SMB99thx: published this sandbox behind my back and without my permission however, I want to say that I fully apologize for publishing your sandbox without your permission - this is will only going to be your only one sandbox that I will going to publish, and I will not go and publish all of your other sandboxes again starting on this day. I'm going to be honest that I wanted to publish this sandbox for some time now because I want to finish the North Indian Ocean basin series (this was the last one) and I consider this sandbox to be most article-ready of all of your sandboxes. Because of that reason, I decided to publish that sandbox to finish the work that we have for this WikiProject. SMB99thx my edits! 01:40, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I oppose any split. This article would include any land depressions under its title. If this list ever reaches size constraints, then perhaps it can be split. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 03:12, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support and Comment.: Per Noah. Article list would also be too long if we merge both categories. On a second thought or suggestion, perhaps we could just put in any significant systems and not count in the minor ones? Just a thought. Typhoon2013 (talk) 08:16, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • As has been stated above - we do not cherry pick the best systems to include - also where would you draw the line between minor and major?Jason Rees (talk) 17:13, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I think only the list of deep depression should be written Dam222 πŸŒ‹ (talk) 09:30, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support It is too general to have them both in one article, besides, they are of different intensities. We have different articles for the different intensities in the Atlantic Basin; why not here? π™²πš˜πšπš’πš—πšπ™²πš’πšŒπš•πš˜πš—πšŽ α΄›α΄€ΚŸα΄‹ 23:14, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@CodingCyclone: We do have articles for different intensities in the North Indian Ocean, however, i feel that this article will need further development before it is split up.Jason Rees (talk) 23:57, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Jason Rees: Sorry, I didn't word that correctly. I meant that there was no split in this article specifically. However, I believe it would be easier if we split it now and work on it separately instead of waiting. That will make it easier to split content, since there is less of it now. π™²πš˜πšπš’πš—πšπ™²πš’πšŒπš•πš˜πš—πšŽ α΄›α΄€ΚŸα΄‹ 00:26, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
