Conspiracy Theorists

It is a BLP violation to have names like Roseanne Barr and Michael Flynn labeled as conspiracy theorists without strong RS directly making that claim. There is a difference in saying they've pushed or retweeted a conspiracy theory and saying they are a conspiracy theorists. I've removed the BLP violations again. Order of theories

Would it make sense to order the conspiracy theories in chronological order based on when they were promoted by Trump, just for some clarity? Ajshul 😀 (talk) 15:56, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Yes indeed. I took a stab at topical organization. It falls out relatively cleanly and meaningfully to my mind. "Voter fraud" could fall under "Wrongdoing by political opponents" but voting is surely important enough by itself. I will try further organizing the long opponents section by individual opponent, which, again, feels like a natural and useful cut. I've retained the semi-alphabetic sub-ordering. Chronology may be useful at some level, and certainly for some analyses, but the topics help with that too. Unendin (talk) 20:56, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Does that really belong here? Trump received criticism for his reaction to the incident as cited but it was not a "conspiracy theory" as the phrase is usually applied. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.80.236.53 (talk) 17:03, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

The wikipedia article on the case goes into detail about Trump's role without invoking the concept. He rushed to judgment, castigated Mayor Koch, and vilified the suspects, but, as you note, did not obviously invoke a hidden conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups with ulterior motives. List should be expanded to proper article

Conspiracy theories come up in multiple sections of the main Donald Trump article. There's a significant literature on the subject and at least a perception that conspiratorial thinking or heightened awareness of the cultural and political import of conspiracy theories is Trump's key legacy. More practically, the list is dizzying and the page already goes beyond its titular scope to include a partial list of theorists. Unendin (talk) 19:04, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
