editThis limited article has been written by an Vietnam War aviator for the purpose of memorializing the existance of Thai Airbases.
24 April 2006 I have done all I can with this article. Search for additional data has failed. Date already written is so extensive that I do not know how to edit it more clearly.
19 June 2006 Reply received via snail mail from Dr. James Kitchens III of Air force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA-Maxwell AFB) from which I paraphrase: "AFHRA does not include the type of information you are seeking; or such data would be highly fragmented and dispersed thoughout a number of possible file locations. We believe that there exists no literature on the subject of logistical support to Thailand during the Vietnam War per se, a major reason being that the armed sercices in all likelihood did not keep logistical records arranged by countries or ports of entry. Such records as do survive today may be found at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) where they would likely also be fragmented. Additionally, the kind of information you are seekig cuts aross the lines between the US Navy and other branches of the armed forces."
That is to say that we are lucky to have found what little data appears in the article.
