Chart

edit

Now that there is a ProCurve_Products page, could we add a chart including feature sets for each switch? It may be useful to also add which standards are supported on each switch... --Jezarnold (talk) 12:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Or not. Wikipedia is not a product catalog. It looks like this was a snapshop of the products circa 2009? Not sure how useful that would be. Probably eventually rewrite into a narrative history, which might mean merging with the ProCurve article. Although would need to divide up with HP Networking somewhow. It also looks like a literal translation from German? All the nouns were capitalized and "verbs in sentences at the end were put". Might have just been cut-n-paste from marketing docs that also tend to do this. In English only proper nouns have capital letters. Also only wikilink on first use, spell out acronyms on first use, etc. W Nowicki (talk) 20:24, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

1800 not stackable

edit

I own Switches of the 1800 series, and they have no stacking port or dedicated stacking functionality. I just checked the manual to verify.

I suspect the 1700 series don't have it either (I don't own any of those, but they are even lower in the product lineup).

Therefore I removed the "stackable" link from these devices. If you think they do have it, please provide a link to vendor documentation. --Cmdr Zod (talk) 22:02, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
