Article To Do edit

I've started with the information provided on the IPC website (http://www.paralympic.org/release/Summer_Sports/Swimming/Records/index.html) which is from the 2004 Games. The following items need to be done / queries answered. Feel free to contribute to any of these items. Yboy83 (talk) 18:07, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Women's relays
  • Records which are also current world records: add |recordinfo = WR
    • Done with exception of 2008 records (see below) Yboy83 (talk) 21:45, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • 2008 records - please also include a reference in the |ref = field using format <ref>{{cite web}}</ref>, and add |recordinfo = # until the record is ratified and included on the list on the IPC website
    • Men's done up to events on 2008-09-11 Yboy83 (talk) 00:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • Women's back, breast, fly and IM done except for references. Freestyle to do. Yboy83 (talk) 22:19, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Write a lede for the article
  • What happened in 1992? S14 classifications held in Madrid? |meet = fields may require adjusting. A sentence should be included in the lede.
    • Have so far found out that the S14 classification wasn't part of the official Games swimming programme until 1996, so perhaps in 1992 there was a separate 'test' event or something around the same time as the main Games in Barcelona, with IPC allowing records to stand as Paralympic records even though they were not set at the actual games - need references for all this! Yboy83 (talk) 00:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Olga Koval - Nation: CIS - however there is no {{flag|XXX}} template for this. There were 2 NPCs at the 1992 Games which could be the one for this athlete - IND and EUN
    • Have put EUN for now - CIS caused problems with the fix for the 'nation' column. Also noticed Olga Koval is S14... (see above query) Yboy83 (talk) 18:59, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Fix 'Nation' column in template to display {{flagIPC|XXX|yyyy Summer}} - this will then show the correct name for the NPC for Great Britain and also CIS once the query above is solved
  • Fix sorting of 'Class' column
    • Made attempt at men's - not sure how best to do relays though... Take a look... Yboy83 (talk) 18:57, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • Women's done now. Yboy83 (talk) 00:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Legend/key
  • See also/references/external links
  • Check disambiguation of athlete name links
    • Done, though relay names require completion... Yboy83 (talk) 20:04, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yvonne Hopf edit

According to this article [1], Yvonne Hopf wasnt THAT blind. She had to abandon her career in 1998 and even got her driving license. Which makes me wonder whether the records still stand. --14:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
