Episode summaries edit

...are getting out of hand. As per WP:MOSTV#Episode listing, summaries on List pages should be "100–200 words; upwards of 350 words for complex storylines... This plot summary should generally be brief but complete, including spoilers." When I add original info, I try to keep it around 300, due to singular and ongoing storylines. Please try not to bloat these sections. That's what notable episode or season articles are for. Thank you. — Wyliepedia 06:46, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for effort, and brief suggestions. edit

Episode summaries are appreciated; as an very occasional viewer, recalling where, exactly, to pick up where one's left off can be challenging. The only suggestions I offer are ... make episode all summaries consistent in length and detail (bravo, here, generally), and perhaps increase by a line or two the lead—with respect to supporting characters (potentially drawing others interested in LDP and KS, to the series information) and with regard to native American content (motivation paralleling the previous). Cheers, and thanks again for the work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.223.9.222 (talkcontribs) 11:57, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

Longmire is an evolving show. Some episodes have flashbacks, some don't; some episodes are case-heavy, others are main character-specific; and some are straight-forward, others are diversely complex. While all summaries should be "consistent in length", you just can't have that in television episode summaries in Wikipedia. I could have a summary maxed out at around 300 words regarding the case and the next editor adds something about the side story, causing someone to trim the fat. As for the character and native American "content", that should be left for the main page and/or the season articles should someone wish to create notable ones, but, again, some episodes have that, some don't. — Wyliepedia 10:42, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
