Complete edition?

edit

Any note on the "complete edition" (re-)release? Cesiumfrog (talk) 06:10, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't know... if you have sources, feel free to add a note, though (I'll have to rewrite/expand the lead sometime). ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 18:51, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two extra chapters

edit

There are actually two more chapters. They are bonus chapters, that came after the regular manga was finished. One of them occurs after the events of the manga (with two new insei, who are fans of Hikaru and Akira respectively, as main characters). I don't remember which the other chapter was, however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.113.49.164 (talk) 16:45, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've been able to check up on the extra chapters now. The other chapter dealt with Sai's second game against Akira, but from Sai's perspective.--213.113.48.23 (talk) 22:31, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

... Nevermind, they seem to be in the article. They are apparently in volume 23. Well, according to the article that is.--213.113.48.23 (talk) 22:33, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Abrupt ending

edit

I am aware that reddit is not a source, but it would be good if it could be confirmed. [1] There are rumors that manga ended abruptly because "they were forced to quickly wrap up the story & end it because they got sued by a real Korean Pro Go player, after they based a character off him and he didnt like it" and that there was supposed to be to one additional arc. Also at the time there was talk about the abrupt ending in the manga being because of Korean preasure that Hikaru couldn't win the cup because Korea was on top of the go world.

"The Korean team wasn't suppose to win that round. It was suppose to be a tie between 3 country, that explain the rematch next year, (to satisfied Korea who sued the manga they finished the story with Korea winning the game and end the manga without the last part).
There's were suppose to have another arc after tournament arc that talk about the "new wave" players (protagonist group) reaching the summit of go in japan. ONE day Akira says to hikaru : Akira(u became as good as u were 3 years ago) hikaru(oh really u really think so) Akira(oh sorry it wasn't a insult but...) Hikaru(no its the best compliment u gave me)... After that hikaru explain everything to Akira in front of honindo shashaku temples or something. And they played a game there. Where they see Sai for the last time (yes both of them) Sure the message is still "passing our knowledge" but it's way more explained. And the story ends with hikaru and Akira continues to play go with the invisible spirit of sai watching from the side and he says "this is what go is about". The end personally I really like the ending, I Translated and summarized (it's a whole manga worth of texte) this from a mandarin website that have been translated from Japanese so its not that accurate anymore I did the best I could.
Edit: this was never made in manga becuz the manga is sued by the Korean player so the creator never finished the story. The story above is from the original planning" Setenzatsu.2 (talk) 20:52, 19 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
