More needed on Emmy nominations/wins edit

I used IMDb as a source for summarizing the show's first season Emmy nominations, but didn't complete the same for the later seasons (particularly the 7 Emmy wins). 72.244.203.244 (talk) 11:07, 26 April 2009 (UTC).Reply

Memorable Quotes/scenes edit

  • Our Man In Toyland-when Smart defeats Kaos Agents with toys: "Poor Devils, they never had a chance..all they had were real guns and bullets"
  • Island of the Darned-when Hunter explains the "hunt" will be fair--Hunter has Guns; dogs; professional trackers-Smart only has his intelligence! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.126.88 (talk) 15:08, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Aboard the Orient Express edit

Is Episode 13 "Aboard the Orient Express" really only a spoof of "Murder on the Orient Express"? I would come to think of "From Russia with Love" with its famous train sequence. --31.18.164.244 (talk) 17:41, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Potential episode order mixup? edit

In the HBO DVD set, season 3, episodes 21, 22, and 23, are slightly different order. in the dvd set, 21 is run, robot, run (mar 2, 1968); 22 is operation ridiculous (mar 9, 1968); and 23 is spy, spy, birdie (mar 16, 1968).

there is also mixed opinion on reference websites: http://www.tv.com/shows/get-smart/episodes/ http://www.wouldyoubelieve.com/season3.html

which one should be considered correct? the wouldyoubelieve.com site lists the same information as the dvd set. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.66.111.160 (talk) 20:27, 2 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

It was common in those days for the networks to decide to air episodes in different orders than they were delivered. Our standard template which is being used here for displaying the lists of episodes {{Episode_list}} has two different episode number columns as you can see. By default (as here) the first one is the order in the series as a whole and the second one is the order in that particular season. But if you look in the help and examples for that template, the second episode number column can be altered to be aired order, or for foreign series the US aired order, and so on.
Like anything else, it comes down to sources. If you have a definitive source (preferably a book or something else where an editor was involved), that can document filmed order versus aired order, then use that source to alter the tables appropriately. But be careful using websites as sources, as they may have just copied their info from Wikipedia, which gets you into a WP:CIRCULAR problem.--Krelnik (talk) 11:28, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
