upon those who can efficiently keep an eye on it. The problem is that verification of "last" becomes obsolete with every new episode, since the editor's assertions are, in the absence of an as of template, subject to the possibility of becoming false as soon as another episode is released. I'm not so cynical as to presume that our colleague has completely forgotten about that "promise" lo these 8 years and counting, but they are not entitled to any presumption that they've watched every episode since, aided by a list of the potentially expired factoids, and diligently repaired all those have been falsified by (say) the end of the episode that does so. (Presumably coverage of many other characters in the article is subject to similar infirmities, and the article and other WP coverage of the show should be re-rated with explicit attention to similar failings.) --Jerzy•t05:59, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jerzy: Could you possibly repeat that in plain English, please? (In fact it's his last credited appearance as of 2 May 2016. Since his last credited appearance, he has had an uncredited appearance and no other appearances. If he returns, we'll probably know in advance because the credits are released online in advance (i.e. 2 May 2016 was released today). The editor who wrote that is probably inactive now but there are many people editing EastEnders character pages on Wikipedia. Trust me, if the character is credited, it will be updated before the episode is broadcast.) anemoneprojectors08:39, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
@AnemoneProjectors: If that boggles you, just approach it this way: WP has verifiability via reliable sources as its foundation, and the faith of the EastEnders fan community in their collective thoro-ness does not establish their reliability. Nor does that of the body of EastEnders fans who edit the WP EastEnders articles compulsively enuf to brag about their thoro-ness. Material based on that standard of verifiability belongs on a Wikia wiki, not WP. If you want readers to infer there's been only one quasi-appearance of AP in 8.5 years, tell them how they can check your work and which editor vouches for that, and how recently they did so. --Jerzy•t10:47, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jerzy:The only way to verify that a character has not been credited is surely to watch every episode (which actually millions of people have already done) or read every list of credits on the BBC website (which is sadly incomplete and therefore not possible). Therefore it would be better to remove "This is Mr. Papadopolous' last credited appearance [as of]". It's basically saying "he hasn't been credited in any episodes since" but it's better to state (and easier to cite) what has happened, not what has not happened. anemoneprojectors10:58, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've removed it, since it's easier to prove a positive than a negaative. I'm not going to cite 1,854 episodes. Also, I'm not going to update the "as of" date every time a new episode is released. I hope this is to your satisfaction. anemoneprojectors11:05, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
You are free to edit the page to add any missing characters. The list was originally written in 2007 and the source used at the time was not the 1992 episodes. Not everyone is watching Classic EastEnders on Drama. — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬10:24, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I didn't have the time (or resources), but that you to whoever did add her, I was just notifying that she was missing (and you seemed like a good person to contact about this). "Not everyone is watching" - what has whether anyone else was watching got to do with anything? Your response was... not all that helpful. 86.174.28.98 (talk) 10:36, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
