What is this stupid idea to merge all the articles about television channels across Europe with same brand in one single article? Every country has different television culture different regulation. And some of those channels have different origin. (For example, Disney XD Greece, which was local children's channel named KTV, then became Fox Kids and Jetix before eventually becoming XD) 112.158.15.62 (talk) 08:42, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

All versions do have the same programming with only a few local programmes. As far as I know Disney XD is preceded by Jetix and Fox Kids in nearly all European countries. The only difference between the localized versions are the commercials, dubbing/subtitles and marketing. Initially there were separate articles for each country but a merging request was being discussed. It would have merged with Disney XD, but I proposed to at least have an article about the European counterpart, because the European versions do differ from the American. The former localized articles were all mainly the same. I agree, Disney XD UK is not the same channel as Disney XD Greece, Disney XD Netherlands is not the same channel as Disney XD CIS. Being confined here doesn't allow something like Disney XD UK & Ireland to expand, and be a good article, WP:TOOLONG allows it to be split out. 117Avenue (talk) 02:45, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Jetix article deletion

Why has the entire Jetix page been absorbed into this? It doesn't make any sense. Jetix and Disney XD are two totally different things. --173.53.83.234 (talk) 20:03, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Older Disney animated TV shows

How are Bonkers, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, Gargoyles and Timon & Pumbaa considered "Classical animation"? They seem to be part of the modern era of Disney (1983-present). 75.139.228.175 (talk) 19:53, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

I have redirected this article back to List of Disney XD TV channels. This article has been {{Notability}} tagged for over 4 years, and as the first topic on this Talk page shows, its very existence has always been controversial. Also, as I said in my edit summary, content here was either redundant, or should reside at new standalone articles on each of those channels currently without their own article. But the current version of this article was a Frankenstein's monster, with all of the programming lists being out of WP:SCOPE for the titled topic of the article, and there not being enough worthwhile content to keep once all of that was removed. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:55, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
