Title for Episode 1

The official Code Geass trading cards have been released (or at least the first round/pack thereof, anyways), and one of the cards has the translation of episode 1 (stage 1) as On The Day The Demon Prince was Born. Should the fan-translated titles be changed to whatever the trading cards say in the future? See the episode 1 card -Atashi 00:42, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't see the reason to change it. Although official, this translation seems like a good example of Engrish. This article is meant for English speakers, so a coherent translation or official translation by an Anglophone company would be best. "The Day the Demon Prince was Born" looks closer to 魔神 が 生まれた 日. Engrish or not, it's official.

The English dub which has just premiered on Adult Swim apparently subtitles it as "The Day a New Demon was Born". That seems to be the newest official English translation. Juancarlos2004 (talk) 18:55, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

C.C.'s real name

Tricky. Ep. 11 offers two interpretations to the viewer:

1. C.C.'s real name is plink, which is definitly non-human, hinting she may be some kind of spirit of nature, perhaps some nordic deity, ice fairy, whatever
2. C.C.'s real name is something else, but just as we hear it or hear Lelouch saying it, at the same time a drop from a stalagtite hits the water surface and covers it.

Hmm.. as I don't see anyone uttering her name first, I bet it is plink.

And a side note: I wish Kallen was written as Karen and Lelouch as Lelouche because that would be better English and French. But if the series creators stick to those mistakes we probably have to stick to them as well.

Short Summary Guidelines

IMHO many of the short summaries aren't really short and some give too much away of the episode's plot. Are there any Wikipedia guidelines dealing with this? What are your opinions? --Marc van Woerkom 14:10, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:FICTION states "Plot summaries should be kept reasonably short, as the point of Wikipedia is to describe the works, not simply summarize them. ", so I completely agree that summaries should be kept reasonably short and simple. Partial Agree. For separate articles per episode, the summaries may as well be on the scope of Star Trek the Next Generation. It's possible to write up episode summaries in 3 sentences or less. Of course, some may require longer - but not many. For a model list, just look at List of Oh My Goddess episodes. KyuuA4 21:44, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm still looking over the issue, but I've also just noticed that many of our images are high resolution and - more importantly - lack a fair use rationale tag and/or text. That's not good. --Darkbane 22:41, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

I've read most of what's been said there now. Since the discussion is still very much in progress, let's leave the images for now. I'm afraid that a removal of the images will lead to a revert war and eventually to locking the page against edits, something that won't benefit any of us.

Having said that, it's vital that all images at some point are replaced with relevant, low-resolution images with completed fair use rationale tags containing detailed arguments for the image use. Another Opening Theme?

A video has surfaced that I at first thought to be fan-made: an opening to Code Geass as Zetsubou Billy by "Maximum the Hormone". However, there are too many small things in the video for it to be fake, such as the SUNRISE logo towards the end of the video and the final picture that was clearly drawn by the creators themselves. Honestly, if you want to edit Wikipedia, why don't you register and participate in the community? Air dates

According to this page and adultswim.com, Code Geass season 2 episode 1 is supposed to Air tonight (actually tomorrow morning), November 1st (or 2nd, technically) at 3:00 in the morning for Mountain Standard Time. Today the time moved back to Standard Time, but I live in Arizona, which doesn't change it's time for DST and flips back and forth between Pacific and Mountain Times.
I'm getting a little off topic, but I've checked my program guide on the satellite network I'm with and it says that Code Geass is NOT airing tonight AT ALL. I'm wondering if this is a scheduling error made by my satellite provider or attributed to the fact that Arizona is "weird" and doesn't move time back and forth so Adult Swim is skipping an hour of programming (most inconveniently Code Geass's block) to make up for the time difference. The reason why I'm wondering and asking you guys is because I usually record the show on my VCR (yes, I'm retro) so I don't have to stay up that late.

Code Geass definitely aired yesterday morning, and I record it on my DVR so I don't have to stay up so late either. =) BTW, did it air last week? U.S. Air Dates

I really wish people would stop fucking around with the dates for new episode airings. I'm tired of getting excited and then feeling disappointment.

Revamping articles 2013

Structure Organization discussion

I sent out a third opinion request. Gohan13 argues the Individual OVA should come before the Akito series due to the release date. I argue notability/significance should come first. Gohan's example would be similar to shoving the anthology media releases of Rozen Maiden into the manga section where the main works and its derivatives belong.

Gohan13 also argues the DVD compilation should be added to the list. I say it should be treated as a volume release and remain in their respective articles. Whatever input will be binding for the article. Thanks. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 01:32, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
