What does this statement mean?

In the intro, the asterisks used by some names are explained as "the artist means that it is not signed in the label". That makes no sense. Do you mean the artist is no longer signed to the label? 70.73.90.119 (talk) 06:14, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
