The map is a bit inadequate, because there are sizable indigenous Slavic populations in other countries as well. I am aware of Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Germany, e.g., Sorbs, Molise Croats, Burgenland Croats. So their areal is not that discontinuous as it looks at the map :-).
