Talk:Lisa (Dead or Alive)
I must again reiterate, where did the information regarding Lisa and Tina being best friends come from? Unless this is stated openly in a game or other Tecmo material it should only be cited as them being friends.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 07:30, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Nationality
editIsn't she supposed to be Mexican? "La Mariposa", "Lucha Libre"? - Hazuki-90 22:23, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- She's African-American. The Mexican name is only her title because she participates in lachador wrestling. -ZeroTalk 22:31, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, she could also be a Black Mexican since Mexican is not a race, like most (not all) Americans seem to believe. Anyway, since her nationality is American, I think she might be a Mexican-American; it makes obvious sense. --- Lancini87 06:32, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

- Um, yeah, you said that already. It's no big deal, I was only stating my opinion. --- Lancini87 23:57, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

- She's HISPANIC American. Hispanics has been the largest minority group in the USA since 2003. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ktchong (talk • contribs) 19:14, 30 April 2007 (UTC).

I could definitley agree with Hispanic ethnicity, but Team Ninja haven't been very elaborate upon ethnical backgrounds, Leon's clothing (the turban specifically) indicate Arabic origins, however his nationality is listed as Italian. I think what the major problem is, is DOA's character models. The anime style (if you want to call it that) doesn't give away the looks that would expose the ethnical backgrounds even more. In the case of Lisa, she has sleek, fine, straight, light brown hair. Most of the black population have very corse, curly, thick black hair, of course the hair thing could be entirely cosmetic since anybody can change the way their hair looks but its another thing to consider. --- SC Fanfreak 10:41, 4 June, 2007.
Brother?
editHave any of you read anywhere where people say Zack and Lisa are brother and sister? I know for a fact that that's incorrect. I think people say that because they are probably both African-Americans. All I know is that when DOAX first came out, and when all those rumors were running around about the game, like when people said that Zack was the only male playable character. The thing about Lisa and Zack being siblings also went along with those rumors.
--If it we're true it would be officially stated in the storyline and such, They may be both black but it doesn't trigger an abrupt family relation between the two they're just both African American characters.-- [SC fanfreak]
Couldn't she be Brazilian, since her fighting style, Capoeria is Brazilian? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.4.41.166 (talk) 23:38, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Capoeira
editThis is only my opinion but does anybody agree with me that some of Lisa's movements are based on capoeira? im only guessing since i dont know much about the martial art but it seems to me that her quick kicks and continuous flips are similar to capoeria. Santiago 22:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
yeah i agree with you, they remind be of capoeira alot.
Tina e Lisa
editIt's said in DOAX booklet that they were friends in high school, and that Lisa played volleyball in high school. If you had played DOAX you would have noticed that when you play the game with Tina, and you soon meet Lisa, they say they know each other since high school. And they say they were best friends. --58.10.161.69 (talk) 06:22, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
