Question

edit

I heard that this body was male...is it true?--Boy of The Waters (talk) 15:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to Brothwell, the skull (which was all that was found) was identified as that of a woman's. Although I have no idea how that would be done from just a skull. There may have been more recent developments, but I am not aware of them. Are you sure you're not thinking of Lindow Man which was a different bog body found in the same area? Nev1 (talk) 15:35, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
no, I read in a book,

...the skull turned out to be 2000 years old and male... --Boy of The Waters (talk) 19:57, 18 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Are you quite sure you're not confusing this article for something else? A F K When Needed 23:14, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

It isn't that hard to sex human skulls. As a rule, male skulls have brow ridges female skulls do not. There are a few other indicators as well, that is an easy one.Brett Dunbar (talk) 17:27, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

There are quite a few ways to determine the sex of a human skull. Although there may be damage to the skull that was not initially noted. Where is this skull now?Rmosley3 (talk) 15:00, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Move to Lindow Man

edit

Hello,
I noticed the entry about the Lindow Woman of the Lindow Man article seems a bit larger an more detailed than this article itself. Should the Lindow Woman be redirected to Lindow Man#Lindow Woman? --GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 15:34, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

While I think Lindow Woman is notable enough to merit her own article, at the moment our article on Lindow Man covers the subject better so we may as well direct readers there. Nev1 (talk) 23:07, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Where is the skull now? What has happened to it after police investigation? Rmosley3 (talk) 23:09, 22 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lindow I connection to Lindow III

edit

I think there may be connection enough between these discoveries to add a subsection describing the relationship. Although I am doing more research to confirm. What do you think? Rmosley3 (talk) 14:24, 11 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Rmosley3: Do you mean the theory that Lindow I and III are parts of the same body (referenced to source #7)? Having a separate section on it sounds reasonable if there's enough material in the sources discussing it. Richard Nevell (talk) 15:34, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
