Controversy Over Freedom of Assembly section + Article request!

I started expanding this section after I was mentioned on Twitter by folks concerned about intentional framing bias. I also added a current event tag. I think it's important to keep expanding this section, but in the big picture I don't want to create a "coatrack-like" effect. Insertion of material

An editor has recently repeatedly inserted material that is both lacking in appropriate marking of the source, and apparently copyright violation, as well as being of questionable appropriateness for other reasons. As the material has been repeatedly removed by various editors, the editor looking to make additions should discuss the matter on this talk page and gain consensus before attempting to reinsert the content. --Nat Gertler (talk) 03:48, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Libby Schaaf. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Promo fluff

An editor has been inserting and reinserting material sourced to sources under Schaaf's control related to her goals and plans and achievements. These cites are not reliable third-party sources, and thus do not indicate the truth of the claims nor the importance of the views expressed. This material has been removed by multiple editors, and should not be reinserted until consensus is achieved on the talk page for its inclusion. Please see WP:BRD for material relevant to this matter. --Nat Gertler (talk) 19:06, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

@NatGertler: and it continues, not a word in response to their talk page or here, and I have done all I can. It appears to be a campaign staffer updating the article. Any suggestions? ScrpIronIV 17:33, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
You've placed the edit warring warning on their talk page, which means that if he reverts again, we can turn them in at WP:3RR. I will also caution you that in responding, you risk crossing the bright line of 3RR yourself. And in the case of 3RR, we can also file for page protection, giventhe user's history of block evasion. --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:50, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
The user also has a clear WP:COI as an employee of the campaign but I can't say more without violating WP:OUTING. Although I can say a blocked sock admitted it, so there is that. What are the rules for WP:SPA accounts with a WP:COI entering promotional material? I would think reverting additions from such an account would be an exemption from WP:3RR ScrpIronIV 18:49, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
Ah, I had missed the statement in the sock puppet's block appeal. I have dropped a COI notice on the primary account's talk page to do things properly; should this sort of editing resume, I'll take it to WP:COIN. A permanent block is quite possible. However, simple promotional editing is not one of the exemptions to the 3RR rule; you'll find the exceptions at WP:3RR. (Note that reverting edits by a sock of a blocked user is permitted, should these edits reappear quickly.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 19:37, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
And, unsurprisingly, the matter has now reached the point where I've started the COI discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Libby_Schaaf. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:56, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

"Succeeded By"???

Why was a "Succeeded by" section added for someone still in office? The person listed as the successor was not and is not mayor-elect, either (Annie Campbell Washington). Matthias Alexander Jude Shapiro (talk) 07:26, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
