edit

I think that this merge should take place. The material in both articles covers the same subject so more redirecting than merging. --Stormbay 02:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

POV

I removed the following line as I think it's very POV. Has no reference either 222.154.254.33 (talk) 03:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I noticed there was no critical section in the puff piece article.2A02:C7C:E124:800:482B:3EC4:5E20:78D (talk) 08:02, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

"This investment strategy is no longer affordable, at least in the financial sector."

IFRS17

edit

There is no such thing. There is an IAS17, however it is concerned with leasing contract. --62.134.27.165 (talk) 13:58, 10 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

FRS17 is the UK GAAP standard for pension accounting. International accounting standards are called either IFRS or IAS (IFRS are newer standards, IAS are older). IAS 19 is the International accounting standard for employee benefits that covers pension accounting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.175.173.142 (talk) 13:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pension / Gilts crisis

edit

It makes sense to mention in this article the emergency Gilts purchases by Bank of England triggered by the LDI funds. Sissoko (2022, [1]) suggests that the entire LDI scheme was designed to eventually force the central bank's bail-out. Викидим (talk) 23:14, 18 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sadly Wikipedia is not interested in anything that might present the Credit Bubble establishment in an unfavourable light2A02:C7C:E124:800:482B:3EC4:5E20:78D (talk) 08:01, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Some new literature on the subject:

Informa UK Limited: 1–19. doi:10.1080/13563467.2023.2184469. ISSN 1356-3467. mostly approving, but page 4 allows to cut through the typical investment drivel by explaining the practical setup for the UK pension funds

Lack of a Critical Section.

edit

Why is there no Critical Section in the article? The article presents this investment approach as a good thing - with no criticism at all. 2A02:C7C:E124:800:482B:3EC4:5E20:78D (talk) 08:04, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
