English American?
editI'm no expert on American history, but I'm sure both having a very Welsh name and having parents hailing from Monmouthshire attests Lewis Morris as a Welsh American rather than an English American. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cynfael Fendigaid (talk • contribs) 22:15, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Places named after him
editMaybe mention Morris County and Morristown, NJ as named after him.--68.193.135.139 (talk) 03:06, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- There is definitely something not right about the Westin hotel entry; I think it should probably be removed. The article here suggests that it was named after Gouverneur Morris, not the subject of this article. The namesake of the hotel according to the Westin web page source was the state's first governor, but that person was William Livingston, not this article's Lewis Morris (the 8th colonial governor) or Gouverneur Morris (his grandson, and not a governor at all). A similar error also seems to appear on the website for Lewis Morris Park. -- Erjwiki (talk) 20:58, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
